İnan Kıraç – Chairman

Mr. İnan Kıraç started his career in 1961 as a sales officer in Ormak A.Ş. affiliated with Koç Group. In 1966, he was appointed to the General Management of Otoyol, manufacturer of Fiat Trucks and Minibuses. In 1970, he became the General Manager of Tofaş Oto Ticaret, the marketing and distribution company for Fiat Automobiles manufactured in Turkey. First, he was assigned as Koç Holding Vice President of Tofaş and then as the Koç Holding Automotive Group President. Serving as Koç Holding's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) until his retirement in 1998, Mr. İnan Kıraç has witnessed each stage of the Turkish Automotive Industry's development, has worked for each detail as a professional executive and has played a role in the establishment of many important factories.

Claude Nahum - Member

Mr. Claude Nahum graduated from London University of Kings College as an automotive professional engineer. In 1969, he joined the Koç Group as Tofaş Oto A.Ş. Technical Service Specialist. In 1980, he moved to Switzerland as the President of Kofisa Trading Co. and started to establish other international trade companies of Koç Group. In 1991, he was appointed as the Vice President of the Foreign Trade Group. In 1997, appointed as the President of the Foreign Trade Group, Mr. Claude Nahum increased the total turnover of Koç Foreign Trade Group, which was only 10 million USD in 1980, to 1.6 billion USD while he was on duty. He is the founding partner of Kıraça Companies.

Ümit Taftalı – Member

After completing his graduate studies (M.B.A.) at the University of South Carolina, A. Ümit Taftalı worked as an investment banker in Atlanta, New York and London; he took on senior positions in Merrill Lynch & Company, Bankers Trust Company and Goldman Sachs International. A. Ümit Taftalı, who is still working as the deputy-advisor of Suna Kıraç, has been a part of international financial markets for twenty-three years. He has also participated as board of trustees, board of directors, founder and member in many foundations and associations including Suna & İnan Kıraç Foundation, TESEV, TÜSİAD, Saint Joseph Education Foundation, TEGV, FİDYAK, Galatasaray Sports Club, American Finance Association (USA), Financial Management Association (USA), Museum of American Financial History (USA), BSU Foundation (USA), Turkish Bankers Association (UK), and The American Turkish Society (USA). Mr. Taftalı speaks English and French, and he currently works as the Chairman of the Management Committee.

Jan Nahum – Member

Born in 1950 in Ankara, Jan Nahum had his high school education at Istanbul Robert College. Nahum studied for the university in the department of "Automotive Design” at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London, which accepts only four students each year around the world, and he has received the "Penguin Design Award" that year for his research on "Economical Vehicle".

He started his career in 1973 as a Project Engineer in Otosan. Within 9 years from 1975, he has worked as the head and coordinator of department design respectively in the R&D Centre of Koç Holding. Transferring to Otokar in 1984, he served for 10 years as the general manager of the company and during this period, he led Otokar to operate in the defense industry with Land Rover and armored vehicle manufacture. Afterwards, he worked as the general manager of Tofaş, a Koç Holding and Fiat partnership. Within this period, he initiated major R&D activities by Tofaş and the Doblo project, which led Tofaş to become the manufacturing base of Fiat. Nahum also served as the company's managing director between 1998 and 2002.

Then, he simultaneously held the positions of deputy chairman of the board of directors in Tofaş and head of the international business development department in FIAT S.P.A. until 2004. 
In 2004, becoming a member of the board of Karsan Otomotiv which operates within Kıraça Holding, Nahum served as the general manager of Petrol Ofisi between 2005 and 2007.
In 2005, leading the foundation of the family firm Hexagon Danışmanlık ve Ticaret A.Ş., Nahum has identified automotive, renewable energy, developing technologies and environment industries, which are of particular concern to Turkey's future, as Hexagon's business fields. Nahum has been working as the chairman of the board of Hexagon Danışmanlık ve Ticaret A.Ş. as well as managing director of Karsan since 2008. He is married and he has three children; his specialties are automotive, design, industrial engineering and energy.

Bahattin Başoğlu – Member

Born in 1942 in Kazasker Erenköy, Başoğlu studied between 1949 and 1954 at Zihnipaşa Primary School in Erenköy; between 1954 and 1957 at Kemal Atatürk Middle School in Yeldeğirmeni; between 1957 and 1960 at Haydarpaşa High School; and between 1960 and 1964 in the Department of Business Management and Finance at the Faculty of Economics, at Istanbul University. Completing his military service in Mardin as reserve officer between 1964 and 1966, Başoğlu started working for Otoyol Sanayi A.Ş. of Koç Group as cost accounting manager on April 3, 1967. Continuing his work here until June 1, 1970, Başoğlu took part in the works of founding Tofaş Oto Ticaret A.Ş. and started working as Accounting Manager in Tofaş Oto Ticaret A.Ş., which was founded early December 1970. In time, he was at the head of Accounting, Financial-Administrative Affairs, Staff-Intelligence and Assurance-IT departments. After working at various positions, Başoğlu became Vice General Manager in 1981 and he left Koç Group on June 30, 2001. Başoğlu, started to work for Kıraça Group on July 2, 2001, is currently Member of Management Committee and Board of Directors in Kıraça Holding A.Ş. and Member of Board of Directors in Kıraça Group Companies.

İpek Kıraç; Member

İpek Kıraç graduated from Koç Private High School in 2002, and in 2007, from Brown University with a degree in Biology, and she still continues her Master's studies in Public Health at the same university. Founding Member of Suna & İnan Kıraç Foundation Culture and Arts Enterprises, İpek Kıraç also continues to work as Executive Committee Member in Koç Private High School, Member of the Board of Temel Ticaret ve Yatırım A.Ş., Member of the Board of Trustees of TEGEV, Member of the Board of Amerikan Hastanesi Sağlık Hizmetleri Ticaret A.Ş., and Member of the Board of Zer Merkezi Hizmetler A.Ş. İpek Kıraç is the CEO of Sirena Marine Denizcilik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., a subsidiary of Kıraça Holding, since March 2012.

Nevzat Tüfekçioğlu; Member

Born in 1941 in Bursa, he finished Bursa Erkek High School in 1959 and Department of Finance and Economics in the Faculty of Political Science at Ankara University in 1963.
In 1963, upon completing his studies in the Faculty of Political Science, he worked as Financial Tax Inspector in the Tax Inspection Board in Ministry of Finance.
In 1974, continuing his professional career in Koç Holding Financial Group, he worked as Audit and Financial Group Coordinator, Vice President and President of Koç Holding, and in 2012, he retired thereby stopping his active career.
He continues to take part as Member of Board of Directors and Supervisors and as a Consultant in some Foundations as well as the member of board of directors in several companies.
